Loxone intelligent automation gives our guests a truly unique Smart Home experience. Ben Shea is located in central Dufftown, the Single Malt Whisky Capital and heart of Moray. We hope you will agree it is a joyful base to create a memorable & relaxing holiday.

You will find all switches are the same, as is the alarm clock and surface touch on bedside cabinets. These all work in the same way and full details are in your home. You can control shading, lighting scene options, music volume, airplay and select from favourite radio stations. Feel free to navigate around the system should you wish – at the same time there is no need to adjust anything if the house is taking care of you just as it is.

From the moment of your arrival the house welcomes you with automated lighting and heating set to a comfortable ambient temperature. Light scenes and music are available in majority of rooms.
Night mode guides you to the bathroom or kitchen when it’s dark. Light scenes, music and shading controlled from 5 point switches throughout. There is an iPad to jump into more detail if wanted, at the same time you don’t need to change any setting. Motion initiates a lot of your smart home features, so don’t worry about having to ‘learn’ the house!
Self check-in as standard via the access control pad with your unique code for your stay. Allowing flexibility in time of arrival so your travel day can adapt to suit the unexpected scenic points to stop for photos or dining options along the way.
From the front door and private entrance, a functional hallway gives you a place to leave shoes, hang up coats, or park prams. Sweeping stairs as visible on the floorplan leads you to your accommodation. Please do keep to the left, wider treads for safety as you ascend.
Halfway up the first staircase is a door leading to the snug garden room, which leads to your private garden. Choose a lighting colour to suit your mood.
As you enter the first floor lights will welcome you and this hallway has the permanently mounted iPad, as well as useful cupboard with washing machine, chairs for outdoors or indoor dining use and a highchair, hoover and supplies.
The first floor living space is open plan with a well-equipped kitchen and cosy living area complete with wood burner. The stunning stone wall and room features are enhanced with various lighting scene options. The coffee table rises and opens to meet your dining needs whether its 2 or 6 guests, as well as the social breakfast bar being a good option too.
Three bedrooms are all equipped with ambient and functional lighting, with the option for all to be Super King beds or all to be Twin rooms with full size Single beds. When it comes to the bedrooms, as well as having night mode tread lighting build into beds, and soft LED reading lights the biggest feature is the luxurious beds – these are the same as The Savoy! One bedroom is located on the first floor, and bedrooms two and three are on the top floor, this can be viewed clearly on the floor plan within gallery
The Living Area and Bedrooms are complemented with automated shading, inset speakers and ambient temperature control.
There are two Shower rooms with Sink and WC on both first floor and second floor. The first floor larger shower room has motion based lighting and music, with soft lighting initiated during the night mode.
The private garden is fully enclosed, accessed via the snug garden room. BBQ is available for use during your stay.
Ben Shea location is ideal for the whisky trail, outdoor enthusiasts, castle trail with the closest being Balvenie Castle a short walk away. Next to this is the world famous Glenfiddich and The Balvenie Distilleries both owned by family W.Grant & Sons.
