James moved to Dufftown, attracted by the fresh air, open landscape and tremendous dog walks he and Dave (our Sprocker) could enjoy. I relocated from Aberdeen as the potential to create our family home, live in a small friendly town and be surrounded by stunning scenery was too hard to resist. We love to adventure and travel together. .
By travelling regularly in past careers we discovered what was important to us for comfortable accommodation and being lucky enough to stay in high quality and stylish venues we appreciated the attention to details, and the difference this makes.
We started working together in Dufftown, building Speyside Cottages from the ground up with our first holiday home project, The Milking Sheds. By refurbishing properties, which is a passion of ours, we know it inside and out. We’re able to breathe life into an old property knowing it is secure for years to come. We also have fun creating stylish spaces, each holiday home has a unique feel and delight factor. These are homes we’d love to stay in ourselves.
We want to create and share gems of accommodation, and connect you with local experiences from our Moray, Speyside region. We appreciate the personal connection when we travel so we do our best to provide this for our guests. From local information, connecting guests with local business, or helping with reservations in advance or during your trip.

Aberdeen City Apartment lends itself well to family holidays with its peaceful location, Ferryhill within the heart of the City. Have fun at Duthie Park and the wonders of its diverse Winter Gardens. Two local family-friendly pubs are walking distance too. A short drive takes you to Union Sq or the beach boulevard and its range of leisure and amusement options for fun bowling, a movie or crazy golf.
